ELECTRICAL BIM & VDC

Scope of Services

BIM Coordinaiton

BimWerks participates in weekly coordination meetings to ensure a clash-free design and model of the electrical system. By working closely with the General Contractor and other Subcontractors, BimWerkz is able to modify and optimize the electrical model to meet the project's specific requirements and space constraints. This collaborative approach helps to minimize design errors and ensure that the electrical system is seamlessly integrated with the overall building design, resulting in a more efficient, cost-effective, and timely construction process.

Electrical Design

At the onset of a project, BIMWerks initiates its comprehensive design process that encompasses all critical aspects of the electrical system. The team creates detailed designs for each major component of the system, including Feeder Design, Branch Design, Inwall Design, and Headwall Design. BIMWerks rigorous design process sets the foundation for a successful and streamlined construction process, ensuring a safe, reliable, and efficient electrical system for the building's occupants.

Coordination Modeling

At the onset of any project BIMWerks initiates Coordination Modeling which involves detailed modeling of critical components of the electrical system, including underground conduits for Feeder and Branch, electrical rooms, feeder conduits, branch clearance trays (upper and lower racks), j-hooks, cable trays, and lighting fixtures. By creating a comprehensive and detailed model of these components, BIMWerks is able to rapidly coordinate with project stakeholders and adhere to stringent coordination schedules. This level of detail and precision allows for quick identification and resolution of potential clashes or issues, saving valuable time and minimizing project delays. Coordination modeling is a crucial aspect of BIMWerks modeling process, and ensures that the final electrical system is optimized for efficiency, safety, and functionality.

DfMA Fabrication Modeling

This phase involves creating detailed models of all the branch conduits within the electrical rooms, as well as the branch upper and lower racks. These racks are modeled within the previously coordinated and approved branch clearance trays that were negotiated and approved during the BIM Coordination process. The use of these trays ensures that the extensive scope of the project can be successfully coordinated, and resources can be efficiently assigned to the more detailed modeling of branch racks. This approach also minimizes any potential conflicts during the fabrication stage. Feeder conduits that were previously modeled during the coordination process are modeled with the same level of fabrication-ready detail as the branch upper and lower racks, which are modeled post BIM signoff. This ensures that all modeled components are consistent in their level of detail, making fabrication and installation more efficient. The resulting detailed fabrication models serve as a vital reference for contractors and fabricators, facilitating smoother execution of the project. Overall, this approach enables efficient and accurate coordination of the project, streamlines the fabrication process, and enhances the quality of the end product.all begins with an idea. Services

BimWerkz is a Virtual Design Construction company focused on electrical systems design and through completion including manufacturing of all electrical systems in large commercial projects. We specialize in providing vital information that enables our clients to make informed choices. The initial setup, logistics, visualization, quality control, and delivery process become more efficient and improve our customers’ experience throughout the life of the project. Using VDC creates a comprehensive work plan, where every trade, structural and architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, is in sync and works as one, cohesive unit. VDC also promotes better safety practices; as well-informed workers make fewer trips, are more productive, and are able to focus on installation.

VDC also allows our customers and their construction team to see the impact of proposed design changes before any materials or financial resources are committed. In short, VDC helps create more accurate construction documents and more importantly, saves money. We provide the Revit Modeling Services to Architectural, Engineering, and Construction industry professionals like Architects, Designers, Structural Engineers, MEP Engineers, General Contractors & Construction Managers, Subcontractors, Product & Equipment Manufacturers, Furniture Designers, Fabricators, Facility Managers, etc.

BimWerkz is a Virtual Design Construction company specializing in electrical systems design for large commercial projects. We provide Electrical Design, BIM Coordination, Coordination Modeling and Fabrication Modeling to our clients in different industries such as healthcare, entertainment and education. VDC performs these services using best practices for DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly). The mission of BimWerkz is to provide each client (General Contractors or Electrical Contractors) with a series of deliverables that will ensure that the project will be built on time and done with the highest level of quality assurance.
